Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency is established to contribute to the development of the national economy by performing work such as trade promotion, investment between domestic and foreign companies and support of industrial technology cooperation.

Invest in Korea

Invest KOREA (IK) provides customized services to support the entry and establishment of foreign businesses in Korea.

Invest KOREA, composed of KOTRA employees, specialists and seconded officials from government ministries and agencies, is a Korean investment promotion organization established to support the entry and establishment of foreign businesses in Korea.

Foreign Investment Promotion

Invest KOREA provides all foreign investment services. This includes promoting the national image, finding potential investors, reviewing, planning and executing investment, consulting and after management. We also deliver feedback from foreign-invested companies to policy officials to help improve the investment environment.


Information Providing Service

(http://www.investkorea.org) provides a wealth of detailed information on investment in Korea on top of its extensive on-line consulting service for interested investors.


Aftercare Service

The OFIO provides aftercare services to resolve a variety of grievances faced by foreign-invested companies doing business in Korea. The Ombudsman makes recommendations to the government and other organizations to improve the investment environment on behalf of investors, thereby helping resolve their grievances.


One-on-One Consultation

IK offers consultations on a wide variety of issues related to foreign investment, namely visa, tariff and tax, etc., for the convenience of foreign-invested companies.

Art Collaboration

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of KOTRA, KOTRA has transformed its office lobby into an 'Open Gallery', an innovative and creative space that combines art with function, as of June 2012.

The gallery now serves as a showcase area for ‘Art Collaboration’ products of small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs). KOTRA provides opportunities for SMEs and Korean artists to engage in collaborative work to differentiate various products.

Defense Industry Trade

The Korea Defense Industry Trade Support Center(KODITS) was established by the Korean government in 2009 as a department of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA) to promote defense industry trade.

It consists of specialists from the private and public sectors.
